Shop It Up! on November 18
Shopkins Live! the first live theatrical production based on the successful Shopkins toy brand will arrive in Los Angeles on November 18 during its national tour of over 75 U.S. cities.
The show’s producing artistic director, Patti Caplette, is a mom who says the show is an energetic presentation for the young and young at heart.
“In creating Shopkins Live! Shop it Up! it’s crucial to be in tune with kids today – the latest pop songs, fashions, hairstyles and lingo,” says Caplette. “So what has been my favourite aspect? I guess I would say it totally keeps me youthful!”
Shopkins Live! Shop It Up! is expected to immerse Los Angeles audiences in the world of Shopville using custom-designed theatrical costumes, creative onstage characters, state-of-art video and set design. Original music, song, dance and interactive sing-a-longs will be part of the live show, with performances from Shoppies Jessicake, Bubbleisha, Peppa-Mint, Rainbow Kate, Cocolette, Polli Polish and more.
Based on America’s #1 toy brand, YouTube sensation and international toy phenomenon created in Australia by Moose Toys, Shopkins Live! Shop It Up! features the fun and fashionable Shoppies, joined by the Shopkins – the grocery store-themed mini collectable toys – Apple Blossom, Strawberry Kiss, Lippy Lips, Kooky Cookie, Poppy Corn, Slick Breadstick and Shady Diva. Shopkins Live! Shop It Up! runs for approximately 90 minutes, with one 15-minute intermission.
