Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission BREAKOUT Debuts at California Adventure

Thrill-Seekers Rejoice!

Disney Fans who were outraged when Disney closed its Twilight Zone Tower of Terror attraction at Disney California Adventure have a reason to smile again: The Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission BREAKOUT opens this weekend.

The two-and-a-half minute ride is action-packed, energizing, and much rowdier than its predecessor.

Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission BREAKOUT is the Park’s first attraction to showcase Rocket, Star-Lord, Groot, Gamora and Drax from the “Guardians of the Galaxy” blockbuster films.

With the grand opening of the ride, the resort also launched its all-new Summer of Heroes promotion bringing along a series of new food offerings, merchandise options and guest experiences. Among those, guests can enjoy cheesy “Groot” sourdough bread with jalapeño shavings, heroic donuts with Hulk and Spiderman designs and new fruity drinks with specialty drink cups. Inside the Park’s shops, guests can find Rocket Raccoon kids’ jackets (tail included), dancing Groot toys and a variety of other Marvel inspired souvenirs. New experiences include the Avengers Training Initiative for kids who want to see if they have what it takes to become an Avenger (Captain America shields provided) and Super Hero Encounters throughout Hollywood Land.
