Mom Blogger Monday: Ruby Medina

Raising girls in Los Angeles and Sharing all About It

Ruby Medina is a Work-At-Home mother of two young girls, Jia & Dahlia. She hustles hard to keep up with the demands of motherhood, career, the married life and her blog, www.LA-Mamacita.com.

Most recently, she joined forces with another LA-based mommy blogger to create a blogger network called LA Mamacitas, because she believes “the sun is bright enough to shine on everyone”.

We agree Ruby. Rock on, mama!

What inspired you to become a blogger?

Writing and sharing information with my community has always been a passion of mine.  I studied Communications and Media in College and when I became a mom it kind of just happened.

What is your proudest Mommy Blogger Moment?

When I got my first message from a reader telling me that my blog post about having PCOS helped them!

What’s your favorite LA hangout to take your kids?

Grand Park is one of my favorite places. There’s a playground, splashpad, picnic areas and a Starbucks on site.

What’s your favorite LA hang out WITHOUT the kids?

I don’t have a particular spot but I do love exploring different hiking trails around the city. There’s lots of hidden gems.

What’s your best motherhood advice?

Don’t compare yourself to anyone else. We all have different journeys, lives and situations.
