Selena Hughes is a Los Angeles Mommy Blogger who loves to be “in the know” and keep us informed of all the fun happenings in our city through her blog SelenaHughes.com

Whether it’s a movie premiere or a donut shop grand opening; a post about the latest theme park foods or red carpet events, Selena’s got it covered!

What’s more is that she often takes her two sons, who she cheerfully describes as “my guys” to many of events she receives invitations for, making us wish we could be there to hang out with them too!

Selena is not new to sharing fun things to do with children around town. She’s a former Macaroni Kid collaborator with a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism. She once worked as a fashion copy writer and loves vintage fashion so much, she has collected over 300 vintage patterns.

We love her because she’s so adventurous– she once moved from Los Angeles to New York City, by train, by herself. (Wow, Mom!). In her bio, Selena writes: “I LOVE to LAUGH! I really believe it keeps the spirit healthy, happy and youthful.”

We recently had the pleasure of meeting Selena and we can attest to her happy spirit!

What inspired you to become a blogger?

I’ve always loved creative writing and needed an outlet for creativity and activities while staying home with my two boys..along came Macaroni Kid Hollywood

What is your proudest Mommy Blogger Moment?

I was under the wings of Macaroni Kid when I started blogging over five years ago. So my proudest Mommy Blogger Moment was starting my own blog selenahughes.com

What’s your favorite place to take the kids in LA?

My favorite place to take the kids in LA is the Discovery Cube LA because they learn, explore and get the sillies out also we LOVE going to outdoor concerts.
