4th of July Events in Los Angeles

In case you’re looking for ways to avoid staying home with the responsibility of cleaning, cooking, grilling, hosting and then stressing over the neighbors kids’ use of fireworks on your street, we’ve got two words: celebrate elsewhere!

Los Angeles has numerous 4th of July celebrations and spectacular fireworks shows lined up for tomorrow’s Independence Day celebration. Here’s a round-up of our top five (there’s still tickets available to the parties that require an admission fee):

Grand Park’s 4th of July Block Party

Doors open at 2:00pm for this Bring Your Own Food (or purchase from the food trucks) Independence Day Party in the heart of Los Angeles. There will be two music stages with artists and bands playing everything from jazz and hip hop to orchestra renditions of patriotic fanfare.

America Fest at the Rose Bowl Stadium

It’s the Rose Bowl’s 91st Annual 4th of July Fireworks Party, which includes a family fun zone to let the kids be free & have fun and also an exclusive VIP area. A lineup of performers will begin at 7pm while the fireworks are scheduled for 9pm. Traffic will be bad, so plan accordingly.

4th of July Barn Dance at Theatricum Botanicum

Howdy, partner! An all-out Americana Hoedown with barn dancing, pie-eating contests, horseshoes and a delicious BBQ meal! Plus, activities for kids like water dunks and watermelon seed-spitting contests too! A family 4-pack of tickets is $50.

4th of July at the Marina (in Marina del Rey)

What a better way to celebrate America’s Birthday on the Westside? Spend the day in the Marina with a picnic in the park, enjoy a waterfront dinner with firework views, or hop aboard an observation cruise for a front-row seat to the show.

Studio City Chamber 4th of July Fireworks & VIP Celebration

Because LA wouldn’t be LA without a glam 4th of July celebration where VIP guests can enjoy a gourmet dinner and fancy cocktails. The children’s section will feature caricature artists, airbrushed tattoos and Lady Liberty and Uncle Sam pictures. Oh yeah, and the admission also includes valet parking.

Happy 4th of July!
