‘The Most Festive Cocktails in Town’
Crazy, fun, over-the-top decorations mark the start of the holiday season at Casa Vega, a family-owned Los Angeles institution that has delighted over six generations of diners–from neighborhood residents and Southern California locals to Hollywood celebrities.
To celebrate, Casa Vega will be launching a Holiday Menu starting November 23, 2018 and lasting throughout the month of December, as well as a New Year’s Eve Fiesta with a midnight show, December 31, 2018.
To get Angelenos in the spirit, Casa Vega will be dripping in old-school tinsel and Holiday decorations- a sight that should not be missed in LA.
The Holiday Menu will feature comforting Pozole Soup made with Hominy, Slow-Cooked Pork, Mexican Oregano, Chile, and Onion; a Mole Tamale made with Chicken and topped with Mole Sauce, and a Carne Asada Torta with Avocado Mayo, Grilled Onions and traditional Telera Bread.
In addition, Casa Vega will be celebrating with some of the most festive cocktails in town, the “Keep The Change, Ya Filthy Animal” which is their famous Mexican Coffee made with 1800 Tequila Reposado, Kahlua, Coffee, Whipped Cream served in a Santa Mug; a “Snowball Margarita”, a Snowy Coconut Margarita with Coconut Rim; “Son-Of-A-Nutcracker” made with Tito’s Vodka, Ginger Beer, Pomegranate Juice, Fresh Lime and Fresh Pomegranates served in copper mug; the “Red Ryder” made with Sparkling Rose Chambord, Pomegranates, Red Sugar Rim; “Dreidel I Will Play” is a opulent Red Sangria with Seasonal Fruit served in a Blue Goblet; and for-all-ages, the “Cotton-Headed-Ninny-Muggins” is a delicious Hot Cocoa topped Marshmallows, served in a take-home Snowman Mug; if over-21 can be spiked with Bailey’s Irish Cream.

Rafael “Ray” Vega first opened Casa Vega 62 years ago in 1956 after he was inspired by the success of his parents’ 1930s downtown Los Angeles hot spot located on Olvera Street, Café Caliente. The restaurant is now run by Ray’s daughter, Christina Vega, who continues the Vega tradition of providing high-quality Mexican cuisine in a comfortable environment.
