Moms, it’s time to get on the dance floor with your baby. Get your groove on with celebrity trainer Ilyse Baker at Moore Dancing Studio.

Baby and Me Dancinerate is a 45 minute class designed to rebuild strength and stamina while having fun interacting with your little one.

My son and I had a blast on the dance floor with Ilyse who’s the creator of Baby and Me Dancinerate, at Moore Dancing Studio in Brentwood. Ilyse has a personality that is as contagious and charismatic as her enthusiasm for fitness and dance. Not to mention, Ilyse taught the class carrying her soon to be 10 month old daughter!

Tiffany Moore, owner of Moore Dancing Studio, also joined the class with her 7 month old girl. Tiffany created her studio to encourage dancers of all levels to come together and dance. Her priority is to offer a studio that promotes lifelong joy, health, and happiness through the art and love of dance fitness.

The idea of Baby and Me Dancinerate stemmed from Ilyse and Tiffany’s love of dance. As new moms, they wanted to continue with their dancing, being able to work out and be with their daughters.

It was so much fun to get to interact with other moms and their babies while getting in a good workout.

Dancing and carrying around an extra 10- 20 lbs of baby weight definitely accounts for a good sweat! There were plenty of great moves, lively tunes, and lots of smiles! Best of all, you don’t need to worry about hiring a babysitter to go workout!

The class had a good variety of moms and babies, from three weeks postpartum to ten month olds.

My recommendation: don’t be hesitant. Don’t think your baby is too young or too old to bring to this class. As Ilyse informed moms, “as long as you can still put the baby in the carrier, your baby is welcome.”

The class consists of easy-to-follow routines, using light weights, and having the babies interact with one another. It was awesome getting to see all the babies having such a great time. I enjoyed seeing my son wiggling his legs to the music and seeing the huge grin on his face. All the babies did so well during the whole class, I didn’t even hear a weep!

All the mom’s in the class where there with a common goal, to stay physically active after having a baby.

The class meets weekly on Thursdays from 12:15-1:00pm. To learn more about the class, contact Moore Dancing (310) 925-5499.

If you are looking for something new to try out with your baby, get in a good workout, meet new moms, or simply get out of the house, Baby and Me Dancinerate is worth the try!

Stay Healthy,

Annette Uribe
