Beer, Chalk Art, and Ice Cream are all part of the line-up this Father’s Day Sunday and each event promises to be easy on your wallet too because admission is free.
Dad has taught us a lot of important lessons but finding a good deal (where beer is involved) might be the best thing he showed us:
LA FOOD FEST / Sunday Funday: Ice Cream Social
Ice cream lovers (of all ages) are invited to celebrate dad at the Civic Center Studios in Downtown Los Angeles for a Father’s Day Ice Cream Social.
Hosted as part of LA FOOD FEST and Artisanal LA’s Sunday Funday series, this particular event will feature over 15 dessert vendors ranging from ice cream and gelato specialties to churros and chocolate chip cookie goodness.
For those who get hungry after dessert, the Ice Cream Social will not be limited to frozen treats.
Folks will have a chance to enjoy a wide array of food options like tacos, Caribbean chicken and corn-griddled sandwiches.
Plus, a full bar for dad to order a special adult beverage on his special day will be available, even if his special drink means gluten-free brews.

Pasadena Chalk Festival and Father’s Day Car Show
Over 600 skilled chalk artists from around the world will descend on the sidewalks of Pasadena to celebrate the unique art form.
This annual festival— now on its 26th year – will offer visitors an opportunity to experience art on Paseo Colorado’s famous plaza, free of charge.
Plus, a Classic car show put on by the Pasadena Police Department will surely serve your car aficionado dad with vehicle ideas for his wish list.
The event takes place from 10:00am to 7:00pm

Boomtown Brewery Father’s Day Family Fest
Attention all craft beer-loving dads: This one’s for you.
Boomtown Brewery will be hosting a Father’s Day edition Family Fest with plenty of fun activities for the entire family including a build-your-own Bonsai Tree station, games, face painting, a bounce house, a mini putt putt course, a photo booth, a petting zoo and prizes.
Tasty BBQ will be available for purchase and no reservations are required.
Just don’t forget to get a picture of your dad, after several brewskis, inside the photo booth, with a fresh face painting.

MUSIC in the Park— La Cañada Flintridge
Pack up your picnic basket, blankets and wine (or beer) and head to Memorial Park for the Father’s Day Music in The Park event in La Canada/Flintridge.
Sunday’s performance by the David Sagal Jazz Quintet promises to draw large crowds as La Canadians have proven to be fans of cool jazz sounds in previous years.
The concert will be held from 6:00pm – 8:00pm
