See You at the Grove!
Facebook is opening one of three Facebook Holiday Pop-ups in Los Angeles this weekend. The brick-and-mortar shops will focus on bringing people together through the act of giving, at The Grove.
Open to the public from Friday, December 6 – Sunday, December 8, Facebook’s Los Angeles Holiday Pop-up will shine a light on the efforts of the Military Mama Network Facebook Group (MMN) (recently featured in this Facebook TV commercial), which works to ensure that military families and veterans in need experience the magic and joy of the holiday season.
Facebook will also open Pop-ups in Chicago and New York City this same weekend. Each store will be an immersive giving experience that brings people together in real life to donate to the Military Mama Network’s fundraiser. While the pop-up shops focuses on MMN, attendees will have the chance to donate to any group or cause they care about on Facebook this holiday season and beyond.
To help raise awareness of the causes that people care about, this year on GivingTuesday, Facebook will match up to $7 million in donations made through Facebook Payments to U.S. nonprofits on a first come first serve basis.
