Casio G-SHOCK announces a special-edition BABY-G collection made in collaboration with the iconic Japanese character, Hello Kitty. The new women’s models feature styles that reflect the Hello Kitty Pink Quilt Series, which trended among young women in Japan back in the 1990s, around the same time BABY-G was introduced.

Created to celebrate Baby-G’s 25th anniversary year, the new timepieces are based on the original BGA150 model with its large, round watch face and metal bezel. To celebrate Baby-G’s anniversary, the collaborative timepieces come with a case back engraving showcasing the brand’s 25th anniversary logo, a special drawing of Hello Kitty wearing a watch and adorned with a flower featuring the letter “B” for BABY-G.

The two watches of the collection reflect the classic colorways of Hello Kitty, who turns 45 this year, boasting pink pastel (BGA150KT-4B) and white (BGA150KT-7B) tones. The watches also include nods to both of the brands, with the letter “B” and Hello Kitty’s face on different positions of the watch dial, as well as flower-shaped metal pieces on the watch faces.

The timepieces also come equipped with standard G-SHOCK technology including:

  • 100M water resistance and shock resistance

  • World Time (29Time Zones / 27 Cities)

  • LED light with afterglow

  • Stopwatch and countdown timer

  • 4 daily alarms and 1 Snooze alarm

  • 12/24 Hr formats

  • Full auto calendar

The BGA150KT-4B and BGA150KT-7B will retail for $130 each and will be available for purchase starting this April at select jewelers, baby-g.com, and the G-SHOCK Soho store. For more information about the Baby-G brand, visit https://www.baby-g.com/.
