A brick-and-mortar experience to over 50 up-and -coming fashion designers doors., an innovative emerging fashion, art, and beauty online and experiential brick-and-mortar retail platform, has brought its New York based pop-up “Metaverse, Schmetaverse” to Los Angeles.

 

The West Hollywood location (8382 Melrose Ave.) will be open until the end of the month.

 

Providing an unmatched opportunity and access for independent designers and emerging artists to showcase their work in an absolute prime location, doors. offers a brick-and-mortar experience to over 50 up-and -coming fashion designers and brands from 20+ countries.

 

“The metaverse is a compelling extension for physical fashion and art, and a unique way to engage with the younger consumer. It is here to stay, but so is physical retail. One does not exclude the other. Brick-and-mortar activations have immense value for emerging designers and up-and-coming artists to introduce their work to new audiences, build trust and amplify their story,” says Alise Trautmane-Uzuner, Founder and CEO of doors.

 

Highly curated fashion collections will be shown from brands including Paris-based Y/ Project, Seoul-established elevated street-wear brand Juun J , New York Fashion Week favorites Private Policy and Ph5, as well as LA-based fashion talents like Emily Westenberger and Maison Audmi. In addition, doors. beauty partner Beautyque NYC, the first 3D multi-brand retail virtual storefront in the beauty industry that is not available in any other retail spaces in Los Angeles has also selected 10 beauty brands to feature. In addition, Ukrainian designers Litkovskaya and TTSWTR were offered complimentary participation in the pop-up.

 

Other brands highlighted include Private Policy, Daze Dayz, Maison Audmi, MQUEYT, PANN, Benedetta Boroli, Dawang, eteréa, Jeanne Friot, Marine Henrion, Vajzë, Aysha Bilgrami, Armature, D-Antidote, Dotlinesurface, Ninael, Gokce Guvenc, Montserrat, Rêverve, Silence Please, Aidan Lincoln, MRSN, and Archie Dickens. To coincide with its physical pop-up, select brands are channeling doors.’ experimental nature by launching virtual collections, and embracing experiments with NFTs.

 

The doors. LA pop-up will host nearly 20 events throughout the duration of one month including a Pride beauty collection launch by celebrity stylist Derek Warburton & Face Stockholm,  collection launch by purpose-first fashion and art collection The Power of Words, “meet-the-designer” events, presentations, live artmaking session with LA street artist MRSN, panel discussion on the influence of Metaverse, and beauty and styling events with social media influencers.
