A recent trip to Legoland California reminded us why this is a great destination for both moms and kids. Located in Carlsbad, California, this family-friendly park offers more than 60 interactive rides, shows, and attractions designed specifically for children ages 2-12. Whether you’re looking for an exciting day of adventure or just want to relax away from the hustle and bustle of Los Angeles, the LEGOLAND® California Resort has something for everyone.

For starters, MINILAND San Diego at LEGOLAND® is officially opening on March 23rd, 2023. Master Model Builders have been fine-tuning MINILAND San Diego to complete this impressive Installation which includes:

San Diego Convention Center: Master Model Builders drew inspiration from Comic Con and are installing hundreds of costume characters based on collector Minifigures this week.
The San Diego County Fair: The team is hard at work setting up three animated rides (Ferris Wheel, Hammer Swing and Gravitron) along with fun fair food stalls, a farm animal contest, a chili cookoff and a giant vegetable competition.
Downtown and Gaslamp Quarter: The streets will be lined with the famous lamps, parking meters and even fire hydrants, but it’s the people that will be the ones to spot here such as Minilanders in suits going to work, musicians playing in the city or a Mariachi band in Old Town.

For the new city, Master Model Builders drew inspiration from top San Diego neighborhoods and landmarks including the Rady Shell, Hotel Del Coronado, California Tower at Balboa Park, Petco Park, Del Mar Racetrack and Fairgrounds, and San Diego’s incredible coastline.

The Ultimate Spring Break Destination

Legoland California also offers plenty of educational attractions for parents and kids alike. The park is home to a number of themed play areas, such as Duplo Farm, Technic Coaster, and Fun Town, that teach children about geography, engineering and technology. Parents can also take advantage of the park’s numerous 4D presentations, which are designed to educate children about history and science in a fun way.

In addition to its rides and attractions, Legoland California is home to a number of dining and shopping options. Families can enjoy delicious meals at one of the many restaurants located throughout the park or pick up souvenirs and LEGO sets at the on-site shop.

Here are Five Reasons why you should consider LEGOLAND® California for your next SoCal getaway:
