A creepy-crawly invasion
Spiders created from over 33,000 LEGO bricks
Call the exterminator!
More than 1,200 LEGO® spiders have taken over the LEGO versions of San Diego and Los Angeles at LEGOLAND® California Resort.
The family theme park, operated by Merlin Entertainments, is gearing up for Halloween Season and their Brick-or-Treat Monster Party with a creepy-crawly invasion created from over 33,000 LEGO bricks.
From the towering buildings in Downtown LEGO San Diego to the star-studded streets of LEGO Hollywood, these arachnids are weaving a web of fun and excitement. The Park’s Master Model Builders spent weeks building 20 variations of these eight-legged critters turning these iconic LEGO cities into a Halloween haven.
“We love this time of year as we can really get creative and have some fun with our LEGO models that we add into MINILAND USA for our guests to enjoy,” said Master Model Builder PJ Catalano. “In addition to the trick-or-treaters you’ll see lined up for candy and marching in the costume contest around MINILAND, these spiders add some more Halloween fun to our favorite cities.”
The LEGO spiders are adding a dash of frightening charm to this year’s Halloween Season and Brick-or-Treat Monster Party at the Resort. Kicking off September 14th, Brick-or-Treat transforms the Park into a fun-filled Halloween getaway with candy provided by Haribo, mesmerizing shows, and LEGO® building.
Families can meet LEGO® Monsters, including Spider Lady, Monster Rocker, Mummy, and new this year, Monster Scientist, before showing off their best monster costumes in Lord Vampyre’s Very Important Monsters (V.I.M) Costume Party. Join LEGO Zombie Cheerleader and her crew as they conduct cheer tryouts with some catchy moves at the Fun Town stage then Jam Out with Monster Rocker in hisDead Beats Studio. The event runs on select Saturdays and Sundays through October 27th, and all frighteningly fun festivities are included with general admission.
