Summer teen cooking academy in Westwood

Teens will learn cooking techniques and kitchen skills

Bon Appetit!

Specializing in culinary instruction for kids aged 12 – 17, Violet Cooking Academy for Teens teaches introductory to advanced cooking skills through demonstration, hands-on participation and taste exploration.

This summer, an elevated experience for teens passionate about food and serious about developing culinary expertise will be offered through small classes (maximum of 10 -12 students) and led by a professional chef and teaching assistant.

What we love about this offering is that teens will receive culinary instruction in the French tradition, inside the new gourmet Viking kitchen upstairs from the charming Violet Bistro at 1121 Glendon Avenue in Westwood.

Sign-ups are now available for one of five weeklong classes from July 24-August 25 which will begin with recipes that develop foundational cooking techniques and kitchen skills and conclude with a series of savory and sweet recipes from Thailand, India, Latin America and the Mediterranean.

The rate is $700/week which includes instruction, ingredients, equipment, recipe packets, supplies and a light snack.
