Happy Mess Moments!

Suzie Boluarte knows how to manage a house full of boys. She does it seamlessly without letting her creative mind stop planning & brainstorming her next project.

The Los Angeles born & raised mommy of Caiden and Ronan, is constantly thinking of new ideas to get crafty, create unique experiences out of ordinary events and bring us a taste of Los Angeles through her blog, Happy Mess MOMents.

Suzie has a thing for parties too. She offers tips on how to throw budget-friendly celebrations, like an Alien Brunch Invasion Party for under $50 or an LA Dodgers-themed dessert table with downloadable printables.  She also shows us how to dress a party with adorable decorations like DIY mini Mummy Pinatas for Halloween, made out of paper cups and white crepe paper streamer.

She dedicates a special section in her blog to “Exploring LA with KIds“, where readers can see her adventures with her cute boys and (husband Danny), like their trip to the cash-only Cabrillo Marine Aquarium near the Port of Los Angeles and a visit to Sawtelle Japantown, a West LA street surrounded by the area’s Japanese American community.

Did we mention she knows how to play the flute?

Keep on rockin’, Mama! You are cool, friendly and very talented!

We can’t wait to see your DIY Party ideas continue to be picked up by magazines & publications everywhere (read below to understand what we’re referencing here).

What inspired you to become a blogger?

I started blogging back in 2010 (after Caiden was born) as a creative outlet to share my passion for simple DIYs and Party ideas. Since then, its become my outlet to share our lifestyle, in hopes to inspire others to have their own family adventure.

What is your proudest Mommy Blogger Moment?

My proudest moment was when an editor of a magazine reached out to me for permission to share my DIY craft. It was an amazing feeling seeing my work in a print magazine!

What’s your favorite place to take the kids in LA?

Disneyland! But since our passes expired, we like going to the California Science Center, the Griffith Park area, and the beach.

What’s your favorite LA hang out without the kids?

I love hanging out in DTLA’s Art District with my husband. Whenever we get a chance to go on a date night, we head there to grab a bite to eat and visit a brewery to sample beer flights.

What’s your best motherhood advice?

Nap when they nap.
