North Hollywood CineFest to Showcase Actors, Directors, Awards

The 5th Annual North Hollywood (NoHo) CineFest will run March 23-29, 2018 at the Laemmle NoHo7 Theater, in the heart of the world famous “NoHo Arts District”. 

This international film festival will showcase 125 films, from around the globe, over seven days. This year, the festival will deliver Director Sadhvi Siddhali Shree the Visionary Artist Award for her heart-wrenching documentary entitled “Stopping Traffic” featuring victims of human trafficking and advocates of the cause. 

Walter O’Brien, CEO of Scorpion Computer Services and Executive Producer of “Scorpion”, will receive the Humanitarian Award for his 20 years work as a national asset helping agencies rescue and protect victims of trafficking and protecting American war fighters.

Celebrities scheduled to attend the red-carpet event on opening night on Friday, March 23rd from 7pm-10pm at the Laemmle NoHo 7 Theaters, include Jennifer Beals (Flashdance), Dan Fogler (Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them), Alexandra Breckenridge (This Is Us), Mischa Barton (The O.C.), Olivia Thirlby (Juno), Kristen Johnston (Third Rock from the Sun), Eric Roberts (The Dark Knight) and more. 

NoHo CineFest continues to partner with Councilman Paul Krekorian to host the Los Angeles Student Film Festival (LASFF) for high school students from all around the city. Awards will be given to the best high school films in 3 categories. 

On Friday, March 30th, the festival will close with its glamorous industry panel, produced by MixKnowledgy, at the El Portal Theater in North Hollywood.  Speakers include top industry Casting Directors, Screenwriters, Directors and Executives.  The evening will be capped by the CineFest Awards ceremony, which will announce winners in 12 categories.
