The Wildly Popular two-day carb fest is back!
Get read to carbo load as Grand Market hosts the fourth annual Los Angeles Bread Festival June 2 & 3.
The free, two-day event is a celebration of Southern California’s Artisanal bread renaissance and an invitation to the public to experience the many expressions of L.A. bread at its best.
The centerpiece of the festival is a pop-up marketplace showcasing local bread bakers as well as free bread-centric workshops and demonstrations. Among the bakers and purveyors setting up shop at the marketplace will be Antigua Artisan Bread, Challah Hub, Clark Street Bread, Esaymada Project, Fat Uncle Farms, Good Gravy Bakes, Homeboy Bakery, Maury’s Bagels, M. Greenwood Jams. PBJ.LA, Sweet Oak Bakery and The Underground Bakery.
Back by popular demand, Feel the Churn Butter Aerobics will get the crowd’s heart racing with a butter-making workshop. The aroma of bread baking will fill the air during demos and workshops led by Grand Central Market vendors including Chiles Secos, Clark Street Bread and Olio Wood-fired Pizzeria along with expert guest bakers. These family-friendly sessions will offer instruction on making a variety of breads at home and include sample tastings of bread straight from the oven.
