RXBar!

In 2013, when CrossFit was becoming the newest workout trend and people were exploring the paleo diet, a pair of best friends from Illinois were surprised that there wasn’t a nutritious protein bar available.

Peter Rahal and Jared Smith set out to create one of their own. The final product was a simple protein bar that contained basic ingredients: 3 egg whites, 2 dates, and 6 almonds. With no B.S.

No venture capitalists. No consultants. No office. Just two friends who were “Eager and broke” and “Upfront about it.”

“We don’t have anything against conventional wisdom. We just don’t always follow it. Even today – we’ve got healthy ambitions, the usual insecurities, and all the other stuff that keeps us human. And this will never change,” the duo says on their website.

There are no artificial colors, artificial flavors, preservatives or fillers in the whole food protein bars. Also excluded from the ingredients is added sugar, dairy, soy, and gluten.

RXBar is currently available in 13 different flavors, including Mango Pineapple, Chocolate Sea Salt and Blueberry.

There is also a line of flavored peanut and almond butters and the company has also launched a protein bar line for kids.

RXbar will be a generous product sponsor during Mommy In Los Angeles Magazine’s premiere print edition launch party and art exhibit. Every guest in attendance will take a bar to enjoy inside their swag bag gift.
