L.A. and Beyond with Mom

Rachelle Lennox knows a lot about hospitality and making people happy. As a guest relations supervisor at the Ritz-Carlton Los Angeles, she spends much of her time solving problems and ensuring guests leave the hotel happy and enthusiastic about returning.

When she’s home from work, she’s spending time with her husband and kids, ages five and two, and sharing about her travels as well as fun things to do around L.A. through her blog, L.A. and Beyond with Mom.

“My goal is to be culturing wherever I go!” says Rachelle. “I believe the more culture we can experience through reading or travel allows us to be loving and more understanding towards one another.”

Somewhere between work, kids and travel, Rachelle is also dedicating time to helping local teen moms succeed through her involvement as a board member of Generation Her, an L.A.-based non-profit organization that offers resources and support for young mothers.

But this Pasadena mom is cool beyond all of the above. She’s a fifth generation Californian who’s traveled to fourteen countries. Plus, she’s the first person in her family to graduate from college.

What inspired you to become a blogger?

I wanted to document the adventures my family experienced so that when my children are older they can read about their journeys.

What is your proudest Mommy Blogger Moment?

Starting my blog! I’m new to blogging and am still learning! I feel so blessed and fortunate for all of the friends I have made through blogging!

What’s your favorite place to take the kids in LA?

Anywhere that provides art and culture but a favorite is The Huntington Library.

What’s your favorite LA hang out without the kids?

There are so many! I love going to Downtown LA, those city lights are the best!

What’s your best motherhood advice?

Where do I begin?! Try not get caught up in life’s constant “to-do” list because it will always be there but time with your children is fleeting. Appreciate and enjoy every precious moment!
