DSG for the Win
To celebrate the launch of DICK’S Sporting Goods’ new family-friendly active wear line, DSG, I attended an evening workout and shopping experience with Fuller House star Candace Cameron Bure. Then I realized, celebrity moms, well, they’re just like us.
Okay maybe I tried my best not to “fan girl” over having DJ Tanner in front of me.

I had just completed a 30-minute HIIT workout with her, wearing DSG athleisure. The workout clothes were very comfortable (think thick fabrics with the right amount of compression. The leggings provided EXCELLENT tummy control). The fabric is made with moisture wicking and antimicrobial technology which means I smelled clean and felt dry after intense cardio!
After the workout, I gathered myself for an exclusive interview with Cameron Bure and started by asking her why fitness was important for her and her family.
“Not only for the physical benefits…but it’s super important for our mental health,” she responded. “That has been where I’ve seen the most change in myself. It’s a stress reliever, it gets all the junk out of your system!”
But it wasn’t until she said the following when I knew she was my new BFF.
“I always say, don’t beat yourself up on the workout outs! Don’t stress out about hitting the gym, or getting to that class if it’s not an easy thing for you do to. I know when my kids were really little, I used to pop a tape in the VCR!”
Thank you, DJ! I knew I wasn’t the only one who felt this way!
DICK’s new athletic line DSG features kids’ sizes ranging from XXS – XL, and adult sizes from XS – 2XL. Retail prices range between $15 to $30. In other words, we can all afford them. But if the price wasn’t enough to peak your interest, how about learning that one percent of every purchase goes to the DICK’S Sporting Goods Foundation to help save youth sports in our local communities!?
Finally a quality active wear clothing line with purpose! It was part of the reason why Cameron Bure chose to partner with DICK’s for this awesome active wear line.
“It’s always wonderful when a company gives back! Charity and non-profits have been a huge part of my life so knowing that 1% goes back to charity and kids in sports is awesome,” she said.
I wanted to ask her about maybe catching a ride together afterwards to visit Uncle Jesse and show off our new DGS gear but the workout had me quite tired by the end of the day!
